service.name and service.namespace resource attributes arrives, so the list fills in as your applications report. Viewing Services requires permission to read integration settings.
Read the list
Each row shows a service’s name, its namespace, and a logo for the platform it reports from, such as Node.js, Python, Go, Vercel, or Cloudflare. Services without a recognized platform show the OpenTelemetry logo. A service namedunknown_service shows Set service.name to identify this service; set OTEL_SERVICE_NAME or the service.name resource attribute so each service appears under its own name.
Search by service name, namespace, or app name. When services are linked to more than one app, use the app filter to show one app’s services; All apps shows every service.
Set up OpenTelemetry
Members who can manage integrations see Set up OpenTelemetry in the page header, and in the empty state before any service reports. The dialog shows the exporter to add to your OpenTelemetry Collector configuration; addotlphttp/interfere to the exporters in your traces, logs, and metrics pipelines.
Telemetry authenticates with a Workspace API key that has the Send telemetry permission. Select Manage Workspace keys to open Settings → Developer and create one. App public keys cannot authenticate workspace telemetry. Follow OpenTelemetry ingestion to configure a Collector or send telemetry directly from your services.
Link a service to an app
A service linked to an app has its traces charted on the app’s Overview page under Linked OpenTelemetry services. Logs and metrics from linked services are not charted yet. Linking does not change where telemetry is stored, and unlinking keeps the service’s data. You can currently link services only for apps that deploy to Cloudflare Workers: open the app and choose its Workers with Select Workers. Each Worker you select is linked to the app as a service and appears in Services as No telemetry yet until it emits telemetry; assets-only Workers never emit. The audit log records each link as Telemetry service linked. Other OpenTelemetry services appear in Services without an app.Link a service to its repository
Link a service to the GitHub repository, and optionally the working directory, that holds its code. Investigations then read the commit from theservice.version resource attribute on the service’s telemetry. The Services page has no control for this link; ask an agent connected through the Interfere MCP to set it. The audit log records it as Service repository linked.
Choose the reportable environment
By default, exceptions from every environment of a service create findings and problems. Set a reportable environment to limit them to one environment, matched against thedeployment.environment.name resource attribute. Exceptions from other environments, or without the attribute, are still stored as telemetry. Ask an agent connected through the Interfere MCP to change this setting; the audit log records it as Service reportable environment changed.
