We make Interfere, which is one of the tools on this list. We’ve kept the other entries as factual as we can, and we say where each tool is the better choice.
People leave Sentry for different reasons. Some want errors and product analytics in one place. Some already pay for another observability platform. Some want to keep their Sentry SDKs but host the backend themselves. Others want a tool built around OpenTelemetry or AI agents. There isn’t one right answer, so here’s who each option suits.

Interfere
That’s us. Interfere is built for production bugs in web apps. It turns errors, sessions and traces into problems, each with a priority, a likely cause, the users it affects and the release that caused it, and it keeps watching until the fix works. It takes OpenTelemetry traces, logs and metrics, and any coding agent can read its investigations through MCP.
Good fit if you run Next.js, React, Vite or TanStack Start and want bugs triaged for you, then fixed with the agent you already use. Our Interfere vs Sentry page goes into more detail.
PostHog
PostHog is a product analytics platform that also includes error tracking, session replay, tracing and logs, which it collects over OpenTelemetry. Errors link straight to the session where they happened, and there’s an MCP server for coding agents. PostHog can link to Sentry issues, but it doesn’t take events from the Sentry SDK. Most of the code is open source, and there’s a hobby self-hosted option.
Good fit if you want analytics, replay and error tracking in one tool, and you’re happy with a broad platform.
Datadog
In Datadog, error tracking is one part of a much larger observability platform. It pulls errors in from the browser, mobile apps, logs and APM traces, and Session Replay covers web and mobile. Datadog accepts OpenTelemetry data, and it also accepts events from the Sentry SDK to help you migrate, though it recommends its own SDKs.
Good fit if you already use Datadog for infrastructure and APM and want your errors in the same place.
Better Stack
Better Stack puts error tracking next to logs, tracing over OTLP, real user monitoring with session replay, incident management, uptime monitoring and status pages. Its pitch to Sentry users is simple: keep your existing Sentry SDK and point it at Better Stack. It also has an MCP server for Claude Code and Cursor.
Good fit if you want to keep your Sentry SDKs and get errors, OpenTelemetry data, replay and on-call in one place.
Rollbar
Rollbar is an error monitoring service. It attaches session replay to errors, offers an MCP server, and has an agent that proposes tested pull requests.
Good fit if you want a replay with every error and an AI-assisted fix workflow.
Honeybadger
Honeybadger bundles error tracking with uptime monitoring, cron check-ins, logging, status pages and lightweight APM, and it can ingest OpenTelemetry traces, metrics and logs over OTLP. It also ships tools for coding agents. Its SDKs cover Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Elixir, Java, Go, .NET and more.
Good fit if you’re a small or mid-size team that wants errors, uptime and crons in one hosted tool.
GlitchTip
GlitchTip is an open-source error tracker that works with Sentry’s open-source client SDKs. It also covers performance and uptime monitoring, and you can run it on your own servers. It doesn’t have its own OTLP endpoint: OpenTelemetry logs go through the Sentry SDK.
Good fit if you want something smaller than Sentry that you host yourself, without changing your SDKs.
Bugsink
Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracker. You keep your Sentry SDKs and change the DSN. It deliberately skips APM. Its license is source-available (PolyForm Shield 1.0.0) rather than open source, and the company also offers managed hosting in the EU.
Good fit if you’re a small team that wants Sentry SDK compatibility on your own infrastructure.
SigNoz
SigNoz is an OpenTelemetry-native observability platform: traces, logs, metrics and exceptions in one place. You can self-host the community edition, and there’s an MCP server.
Good fit if you want a complete OpenTelemetry stack you can run yourself. It isn’t a session replay tool.
So which one should you pick?
- Mobile apps, or lots of backend languages: Sentry is still hard to beat. Datadog is the other big option.
- Analytics and replay alongside your errors: PostHog.
- Keep your Sentry SDKs, change the backend: Better Stack, Datadog, GlitchTip or Bugsink.
- A full OpenTelemetry stack: SigNoz, Datadog or Better Stack.
- Web app bugs triaged and fixed with your own coding agent: Interfere.
